I am a Miami University graduate, who graduated in May 2011 with a double major in Marketing and Interactive Media Studies. My passion for interactive media and marketing is strong and I enjoy using my knowledge of the fields to complement each other. As a dedicated student, I am committed to an exceptional standard of excellence in all that I do. I am confident in my ability to adapt to new situations and take on new projects and experiences with full commitment.
After spending this past summer interning with Leo Burnett in Chicago, I have gained a great appreciation for the advertising industry and the agency setting. Throughout my internship experience, I was able to contribute to brainstorming sessions and attend creative briefings for the Morningstar Foods and Eggo accounts. I also created a historical archiving system for Kellogg’s TV advertising, which included watching over 1,700 historical spots. Watching commercials from the 1950′s to the Present gave me the opportunity to analyze advertising and cultural trends throughout the past 60 years and how they may impact the future.
My academic experience has been enhanced by my involvement in Up Magazine, a fashion publication I helped form at Miami University. Since the magazine’s first issue, we have increased our circulation rate by 200% and gained campus-wide recognition. As Marketing Director, I coordinated advertising sales and promotions while leading a marketing team.
I have a broad range of interests within my areas of academic and extracurricular focus and hope to gain additional experience in an agency setting in the future. I am currently seeking full-time employment opportunities.
